Fighting the Toro: Report on Spain

A woman whose grandfather drove the trucks full of people who were taken out and shot by the army during the Spanish Civil War came forward and humbly repented. Tears splashed out of the eyes of both men and women, including my own. I have been in many, many such meetings around the world but they never cease to touch me deeply, and I believe they also touch the heart of God.
The spirit behind this was the principality of Inquisition, which married together the religious and political powers of darkness so that many were killed and tortured through the strongman of Franco.
Through the years, it has been my experience that there are times when the strongman or principality over a nation actually inhabits a leader (such as in the case of Franco) and causes great destruction. This is also what has happened in Zimbabwe.
After we had some strong repentance and reconciliation for what happened during Franco’s time, the Lord gave me a word that they were to go and have a worship time in the plaza outside of Franco’s tomb to break the power of the strongman. The tomb is actually built inside a mountain that was hollowed out and made into a big cathedral. It is an architectural wonder but I could see that it was a place of worship to the strongman. The fact that Franco’s tomb was a central point within this cathedral made it evident to me that in Spain, there was a “marriage” of the strongmen over the political and religious sectors of society. Worship is the key to tear it down.
We need to apply Psalm 149 to the nation to break open the darkness over the peoples’ eyes so there will be a great move of God and they will come to Christ! So many people have prayed for Spain but yet there is still such a small, struggling church and many cities without any evangelical witness at all.
During the night session, I drew up a charter entitled “Convergence” to demonstrate how to pray over a nation. I then taught about the “Toro” spirit that is the top strongman over the nation. The “Toro” spirit established itself during the time of the Phoenicians when they came to Alacante and brought Baal worship with them. The Phoenicians worshipped, among other things, the bull.
Before this time I had given the “decree of divorce” to the Baal spirit that John Benefiel had prepared and they translated it into Spanish and into their legal court terminology. After I finished teaching, the “decree of divorce” was read and the first volley to unraveling the strongman’s power was fired.
One could feel the heavens “crack” open after that time. It was simply amazing and powerful! I will return to Spain again soon to meet with a group of prominent leaders to prepare a plan for national reformation, including another worship and repentance session next Reformation Day - October 31, 2010. It is time for Spain to be saved and the Lord to use it to arise and shine!
