Fighting the Toro: Report on Spain

Once in the hotel, we rested a bit and I taught the first session on how to disciple, teach and thus reform a nation. The Holy Spirit was so wonderful to help us. We were pretty tired as they do not start their services until 8:30 p.m. and after the preliminaries I started to teach at around 9:30 p.m. This is not at all late for a Spaniard, as one of their sayings to me was, “Cindy, the night is still in diapers!" Quite a cultural adjustment for an American gal. Not to mention that lunch is served around 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. You can probably guess by now that dinner can be very, very late as well.

Candy and I went back to the hotel room at around 11:00 p.m., on a mission to find out about the Phoenicians and Baal. She called her brother, Sergio, who is a pastor in The Canary Islands and an influential leader in the whole country. He gave us some ideas on whom we could try and contact. After having accomplished all we could for one night, we went to bed.

The next day, the two of us went to find a place where we could use our computers to do some spiritual and historical research. I was so glad to have Candy with me because she could read everything in Spanish that we needed to investigate. She logged onto the web and in a few moments started saying, “Yes, yes, this is it! I’ve found it!” Quickly she started translating the historic proof of what the Holy Spirit had revealed to me. “Cindy,” she excitedly said, “here it is! You were right. The Phoenicians first landed in Spain in Alacante before they went to Cadiz and they worshipped Baal!” While Baal is called the “god of 1000 faces”, one of the main ones is represented by the bull.

Around three years ago or so, my friend Dutch Sheets had the revelation that Baal was the strongman over America. From that time the prayer leaders across the nation, primarily led by John Benefiel of Oklahoma, have been doing prophetic acts to break the strongholds of Baal. In fact, John even had an official court “decree of divorce” drawn up to break the covenants made in America in pre-Columbian times. This might seem strange to some, but the results have been quite dramatic—one of the most remarkable being the breaking of a severe drought in Texas.
