USRPN - 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting for Awakening
Dear Intercessors,
The United States Reformation Prayer Network urges individuals, families, and churches to join us in 21 Days of prayer and fasting for "Awakening" in America, January 1-21, 2009. This period begins New Year's Day and extends through the last days of the outgoing President, the inauguration of a new President, and his first full day in office.
Never in living memory has our nation needed God more-needed our prayers more! God's promise to Solomon is still true today:
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14).
The purpose is to pray for renewed spiritual passion, purpose, and purity in our own lives, then extend our prayers for awakening to our families, workplaces, churches, communities, and the nation.
USRPN Arizona State Prayer Coordinator and Apostolic Council Member Cheryl Sacks prepared this prayer guide for her state, and we ask that it be used across our nation.

An Update on the USRPN - Marching Forward into 2009
We started the Reformation Prayer Network in January and now have most states as well as several regions of the world covered with Apostolic Prayer Coordinators. God gave us a word that we were to pray new prayers for a new day. We plan to be an intercessory voice to reform the nations. We want to start a new-wine movement of prayer and are seeking the Lord for His complete team to corporately raise this voice.
The USRPN most recently convened just prior to our Convergence conference in New York City this October. The cry of our hearts was that we would find our moral voice in the nation. Cindy wrote two key words on the whiteboard: "prayer activism", and then added "prayer acts". We seriously considered how we needed to change the way in which we were praying, where we were praying, and how to become more targeted in the prayers themselves. It is our prayer that we will be used of God to bring about a much needed moral reformation on both an individual and corporate level.
We've also discussed the importance of further strengthening and developing strategic alliances with other reformational ministries across the nation. We are moving to form a cohesive team to give us a powerful intercessory force to back the need for a moral reformation and other areas that we need to cover in the nation. Plans have been made to network with a group of key leaders to talk about how this should be implemented.
Canadian National Day of Prayer - Sunday, January 4, 2009
Canada's government, which reached a crisis point on the first week of December, has been prorogued until January 26th when a speech from the Throne will be delivered, followed by a budget on January 27th.
On January 4th, 2009, Canada's Churches from Sea to Sea to Sea will unite to pray for:
- Wise and discerning leadership decisions.
- Righteous, and just leadership to be established in 2009.
- Canada to rise as a model of leadership and influence.
Psalm 72:8 which is inscribed on our Peace Tower says, "He shall have dominion from Sea to Sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth."
It is our belief that Canada is to be a model of just government with leadership extending the influence of values and principles to the nations of the earth.

P.S.: Please pray for Canada, as our government is very unstable at this time. A few weeks ago we had an election where the people of Canada voted for another minority Government headed by the Conservatives. It appears that our present Government is going to be overthrown by a three party Coalition WITHOUT THE VOTE OF THE CANADIAN PEOPLE. This could happen within the next weeks. Asian USRPN Strike Down the Spirit of Buddhism
We are in an hour when we must stand for JUSTICE and RIGHTEOUSNESS!! In the midst of the recent elections, the protests against Prop 8, and the beginning of serious persecution - we as the Church must UNITE and not stay silent or watch the proceedings from the sidelines - we must ADVANCE THE KINGDOM in this hour!!
On Saturday, November 15th - STRIKE LA in partnership with Reformation Prayer Network did a Prayer Strike to tear down the Spirit of buddhism at Hsi Lai Temple in Hacienda Heights - possibly the most influential buddhist temple in all of North America.
This was done on the same day that protest raged in over 300 cities across America against the passage of Proposition 8 (the defining of Marriage as between ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN) in California.
Their assignment from the Lord was simple - as Cindy Jacobs summarized, "to kick this spirit out of America". Click here to read the full report.
