A brief glance at the headlines of our daily newspapers exposes the frailty of the moral fabric of our nation as the corruption of sin digs its claws deeper and deeper into the hearts and minds of our young people. The serpentine stranglehold of abortion continues to squeeze the life out of over 1.6 million wombs every year in our nation, wiping out nearly one-third of an entire generation born since 1973.

The growing slave trade of pornography, homosexuality, human trafficking, and sexual perversion--not only accepted by the culture, but now shamelessly promoted by it--has claimed countless young men and women, pilfering the Kingdom of the Lord's inheritance. 2008 is an incredibly important year in the history of our nation--politically, culturally and economically. We are truly in an hour of crisis. In the midst of it all, God is calling His people back to Himself. Now is the time to sound the alarm! Who will hear His cry?

In 2000, 400,000 people, both young and old, gathered on the National Mall in Washington, DC to fast and pray believing the dream that a nation can change. That gathering and many others have marked tens of thousands of young people, inciting a prayer revolution and inspiring a dream in their hearts that they could be a voice for change. Now, the nation is in crisis again and we feel it is time for TheCall to go to a national scale in another historic gathering in our nation's capital.

TheCall isn't a conference or a festival; it is a solemn assembly-a gathering of all ages, races and denominations. The 12 hours of TheCall are spent primarily before the Lord in the place of prayer and worship. We believe the hour is late and the time's urgent. Our nation is in desperate need of revival. We're seeing the signs of God moving, but we do not have what we want. We have to have a full-scale revival break loose, and it will be only through the collective body of Christ uniting together in the place of prayer that we will find any hope in this hour. We must strike, strike and strike again until we have widespread revival!

Same-sex couples began 'tying the knot' on June 16, 2008, as a result of the May 15 California State Supreme Court decision in favor of legalizing same-sex "marriage", and their subsequent refusal to hold off homosexual "marriages" until after the matter was put to a vote in  November.  These immoral and counterfeit unions are unleashing a detrimental ripple effect across the face of our nation as homosexual activitists are doing everything in their power to make the May 15 decision permanent and widespread.  Homosexual couples are suing for recognition of their California unions in other states and are even challenging the policies of religious organizations--suing Christian schools, charities and businesses--for rights to equal treatment and services.  "So far, the religious groups are losing," according to National Public Radio.  Advocates of homosexual "marriage" are also asking the high court to strike down the marriage protection amendment before it reaches the November ballot.  Even if you don't live in the state of California, for the sake of our nation, we must all unite in prayer!

The Family Research Council invitation below comes to us from Marilyn Norda, the Apostolic Prayer Coordinator for the State of California. The Calfornia RPN is supporting this prayer initiative, and calls all California Pastors to consider the invitation as well.

"Jim Garlow, Pastor of Skyline Church in San Diego has written an open letter to California pastors, asking them to join him and a statewide coalition of churches and pro-family groups for a strategic conference call at 43+ California locations statewide on Wednesday, June 25, at 10 AM. California pastors can get more information HERE, and find locations HERE. The coalition is asking believers in California to join them in a fasting from September 25-November 2, culminating in TheCall California, to be held at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Saturday, November 1, from 10 AM to 10 PM.

May God join the pastors in California together with one heart and mind, and may pastors across America follow suit, to defend the land and God's flocks!

The California RPN is also supporting a meeting at the California State Capitol in Sacramento this Saturday, June 28, to establish the Lord's strategy and leadership for the state.  A  Solemn Assembly at the Justice House of Prayer in San Francisco is also scheduled for August 8, 2008, in preparation for TheCall DC.

We have developed a scriptural prayer guide in preparation for the 2008 Presidential Election and request that this guide be used in intercessory prayer beginning the week of June 8th and then each week subsequently until the day of the election.

The USRPN will have daily fasting and prayer, and beginning Sunday, June 8, we will have at least one state per week saturating the elections with fasting and prayer until the day of the election. We are at one of the most crucial times in our nation's history.  A presidential election is upon us while talk of economic crisis abounds and issues such as increased funding for abortion and legalized same-sex marriage have come to the forefront.

We are calling generals of intercession nationwide to gather in New York City--"the capital of the world".  With an emphasis on praying for our nation's economy, government and the upcoming presidential election, this two-day prayer conference, will be preceeded by a two-day prayer journey to the United Nations, Ellis Island, Wall Street, NY Stock Exchange, Federal Reserve, and Rockefeller Center.  The prayer conference will offer training from some of the best teachers in the nation on the subjects of intercession, spiritual mapping and spiritual warfare around the 7 mountains of societal influence.
