USRPN - 06/13/08 Prayer at Our Nation's Borders

Dear Praying Friends,
The BLEND coalition would like to thank you for covering us in prayer as we journeyed to our nation's border last month to tear down the spirit of racism and contend for a righteous solution to the immigration issue. This event changed the course of our nation! We are also excited to report that the work of BLEND continues! The prayers of this kingdom coalition have paved the way for many more intercessors within the US Reformation Prayer Network to coordinate border prayer initiatives. We are honored to be working hand in hand with people who are giving so much of themselves to the ministry of reconciliation and who are serving as watchmen on the wall for our nation's security.
BLEND: Christians Against Racism
On May 4-5, 2008 at BLEND: Christians Against Racism, we saw 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 take form in Laredo when it said: "When I shut up the heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
Recognizing that one of the roots of the immigration crisis is racism, a Kingdom coalition blended together in Laredo, TX to contend against the spirit of racism and cry out to God for a just solution. At our Sunday, May 4 service, many national leaders spent hours in confession and repentance for the sin of racism within their representative people groups. With clean hands and pure hearts, we engaged in a time of intercession, tearing down the spirit of racism in our nation.
The following morning, we awoke to the biggest rainstorm the Laredo / Nuevo Laredo area had in over two years! We knew this was a sign from the Lord--the healing of land had begun! The entire Laredo and Nuevo Laredo was washed with the rain of heaven.
When the rain subsided, a delegation from the USA marched to the center of the Gateway to the Americas International Bridge and met with a delegation from Mexico. Joined by the Mayor of Laredo, TX and the Deputy Mayor of Nuevo Laredo, MX, we prayed for repentance for abuses at the border. With one foot on the U.S. side and another on the Mexican side, we prayed prayers of reconciliation, invoking the reciprocal benefits conferred upon both nations through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, proclaimed in 1848. The treaty states, in part:
"IN THE NAME OF ALMIGHTY GOD...to establish upon a solid basis relations of peace and friendship, which shall confer reciprocal benefits upon the citizens of both, and assure the concord, harmony, and mutual confidence wherein the two people should live as good neighbors under the protection of Almighty God, the author of peace...". Mexico-USA Border Prayer Alliance Forms

On Saturday, May 10, USRPN representatives from the four U.S. border states - Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas - met together with Christian leaders of Mexicali, Mexico to establish the Mexico-USA Border Prayer Alliance. A total of eighteen pastors and ministry leaders from both sides of the border met around the table for more than 5 hours to seek the Lord's wisdom on this explosive and divisive issue.
The Mexico-USA Border Prayer Alliance also referenced the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. Early on in their meeting, it became evident that God was giving important initial prayer points for addressing our border issues in the language of the treaty itself, from which seven overlapping points emerged.
The meeting turned to prayer, which led to an extensive time of repentance and prophetic acts of reconciliation between the representatives of our two nations. The time included prayers of repentance for the shedding of innocent blood at our borders (Genesis 4:8-10; Deuteronomy 32:43) and the abuse and usury that has transpired between our nations. In a continuation of this move of God at the Mexico-USA border, various Mexican churches united in a prayer initiative addressing violence on the borders on May 31, 2008. On June 9-10, in a meeting hosted by the Mexicali Apostolic Alliance in Mexicali, MX, a team from Arizona met with a wonderful covenant group of Mexican pastors to further develop the Mexico-USA Border Prayer Initiative.
The prayer gathering on Monday evening included dozens of pastors and more than 200 intercessors in fervent worship, prayer, and declaration. Together they cried out for God's intervention in the difficult border issues that our two nations face. The planning meeting the next morning began with an historical synopsis of the border situation from the 1800s to the present and then focused on two important upcoming border prayer initiatives:
June 18-20, 2008: prayer and declarations for shifting our nation toward reconciliation at the Prayer Quake Conference in Phoenix, AZ. A workshop will be held regarding the Mexico-USA Border Initiative, and prayer for the border will also take place during the one main sessions.
July 4, 2008: 160th anniversary (completion of 4 generations) of the proclamation of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. There will be a a series of events at key border cities to affirm the original Treaty and establish reconciliation and peace. These July 4 events will launch a sustained "Watchmen on the Wall" day and night border prayer initiative.

Prayer Quake 2008: Phoenix, AZ - June 18 - 20
Arizona has been called upon by God to shift the nation at some of its most strategic moments. This shows the trust that God has in His people in Arizona. This is the time of history-making for the nation once again.
We stand as a nation on the brink of some of the most serious issues we have ever faced: the economy, the elections, the need for immigration reform, to name a few. While it seems it would be easy to ignore these problems we face, they will not go away.
This is the moment when we must invest our time and energy to be trained as a righteous army so we may fight for the soul of the nation. The problems we face are immense, but the God we serve is just waiting to release His answers and wisdom from heaven--both for our personal family needs and those of America.
For this reason, we are asking you to set aside time to come and participate in PRAYER QUAKE 2008. We use the term "participate" because while there will be training, your prayers are needed to both defend the nation and propel it into its greatest destiny.

Pray for Protection at our Northern Border
With the recent California Supreme Court decisions, the battle is on against the legalization of counterfeit same-sex unions in our nation. Right across our northern border, however, the matter was taken to another level when The Human Rights Commission (HRC) sentenced a pastor to a lifetime of silence for publishing letters to the editor opposing same-sex "marriage".
The case initiated in 2002, at the time when Canada was embroiled in a debate over whether to legalize counterfeit marriage across the country. When Professor Darren Lund of Calgary read Rev. Stephen Boissoin's editorials, he filed a complaint with the Alberta HRC, alleging that the content of the articles was "hateful." The Commission appointed a tribunal to investigate Boissoin...[and] found Boissoin guilty of discrimination and, without the benefit of his testimony, forbade him from uttering "anything disparaging about homosexuals." [The HRC] did not ban him from speaking about anything "illegal" but bars him from any negativity toward gays and lesbians. The official punishment, issued without so much as a public hearing, includes everything from personal emails to congregational sermons.
Conservatives across Canada are in an uproar over the ruling and many are demanding that Premier Ed Stelmach follow through with his promise to review the unbridled "censorship powers" of the HRC. If he refuses, Alberta's thought police can indict any pastor or average citizen who holds political or moral views contrary to the "powers-that-be". Read full story...
We must pray for the protection of our borders against terrorism in all forms!

More on Minnesota -- A Home for Hitler?
In a previous newsletter, we wrote about proposed legislation on increased funding for abortion. As part of that newsletter, we also provided information about Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, the largest provider of abortion services in our nation. A look at the history behind this organization, it's founder, and the present-day abortion movement reveals that abortion was a strategy developed to further the teachings of Darwinism, Nazism, Nordic Theory, and Eugenics--that of creating a "supreme race" by eliminating those considered to be "inferior".
That USRPN newsletter prompted many branches with our network to look further into this matter. Our Minnesota team, for example, has been hard at work conducting extensive resarch and spiritual mapping on the eugenics movement within their state. Among many other startling facts, they have discovered that Minnesota was a breeding ground for Nordicism, Nazism and Eugenics. Read more...
"In fact, 19,000 patients in Minnesota and other states' mental facilities were sterilized in the 1920's and 30's. This was done with approval by the State legislatures. The U.S. Supreme Court even joined the Eugenics cause. The highest court in the land ruled in favor of the sterilization in 1927. One prominent Minnesota physician, Dr. Charles Dight, penned letters of praise to Adolph Hitler. Dight wanted to extend sterilization to individuals deemed inferior outside the institutions, in the general population. The Nazis were not restrained by the American democratic system...Hitler's dictatorship used Eugenics as a warped, psueo-scientific justification for sterilizing and killing millions of Jews, Gypsies, gays and others...The reality of their intentions is chilling." Our National Apostolic Prayer Coordinator over the Governmental Mountain is also conducting extensive research on this matter. Very soon we will provide you with a full report of their findings. It is important for you to be aware of how eugenics continues to affect us today and how we can move forward strategically to tear down this evil stronghold over our nation.
In the meantime, we encourage you start researching the eugenics movement within your own state and go see the movie advertised below, which provides in-depth information on this issue.

EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed - A Must-See Film!
EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed is revolutionizing mindsets! The U.S. government proposes that in this nation, academic freedom reigns. In this highly controversial film, however, host Ben Stein goes on a quest to expose supression by science's anti-theist elit and unveils new scientific facts that suggest evidence of intelligent design in the universe. Stein unexpectedly digs up the roots to evolutionary theory, in the likes of racism, Darwinism, eugenics, and even more ancient evils still prevalent today.
EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed "...presents a rare opportunity to make a positive change in our culture...Persecution of scientitsts who dare disagree with atheistic neo-Darwinism is NOT just an academic issue. The negative impact of preventing FREEDOM to prevail touches all of our lives. The consequences are more extensive and destructive than people know. Please help Ben sound the alarm."
EXPELLED is currently playing in theaters nationwide, and we encourage you to go see this film, and mobilize others to see it as well. For your convenience, many mobilization and scripture-based teaching resources are available from the EXPELLED website free of charge.
