USRPN - 03/27/08 Teaching Our Nation

Dear Praying Friends,

In my newest book, The Reformation Manifesto, I discuss the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20, where the Lord says that we are to "go...make disciples of all the nations... teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you...". In today's language:  "Go out and teach students God's ways and wisdom."  Or you might paraphrase it: "Teach them the true biblical worldview."  This is our responsibility!  We cannot idly stand by while our nation's education system disciples our children through humanistic ideology!  The articles below illustrate the severity of this problem, while calling us to take action to see holy reformation in our nation's education system.

NAE Promoting Homosexuality in Our Schools

Recently, the National Education Association (NAE), in partnership with the American Psychological Association (ASA), produced a booklet promoting homosexuality among school children, and warning teachers not to discuss "transformational ministries" that suggest homosexuality is a condition that can be changed.  This booklet was distributed to all 16,000 school district superintendents throughout the nation!  

Take action to prevent the distribution of more materials like this in our children's schools!  Raise the issue at your school district meetings and send a letter of protest to the NAE.  Click here to read the Family Research Council's full report.  

We are also looking for someone within the USRPN to spiritually map and keep up to date with the decisions and activities of the NAE.  The NAE has been increasingly supportive of left-wing fanaticism.  For our children's sake, we must be proactive!  If you are interested in taking on this assignment please contact our Executive Coordinator, Melissa Medina.

Let Our Actions Speak Loudly on The Homosexual Day of Silence!

On Friday, April 25, several thousand schools across the nation will be observing "Day of Silence (DOS)."  DOS is a nationwide push to promote the homosexual lifestyle in public schools.  

Find out if your child's school observes the homosexual sponsored "Day of Silence," and on which day.  Then inform others about it, contact your children's school in protest, explain to your children why you're taking a stand, and keep your children home that day.  Click here to read the full Action Alert prepared by the American Family Association.

The Failure of the Condom Culture

The Family Research Council reports that recent findings of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) represent a simmering STD epidemic among our young people and a tremendous negligence in care for girls most at risk for contracting STD's.  The call for an effective public health prevention strategy could not be more urgent.  

The contraceptive-based education approach currently offered in 75 percent of U.S. schools facilitates high-risk behaviors, while ignoring the emotional consequences of premarital sex.  The risk-avoidance or sexual abstinence-until-marriage strategy must be adopted to reverse the STD epidemic.  Let's take a stand to protect our young people's current and future health.  Write a letter of protest to your school district, protesting contraceptive-based education and requesting that abstinence-based education be adopoed in our children's classrooms.

Chicago Prayer Journey Report

We are also very excited to present to you this prayer journey report from James Nesbit, of Prepare the Way Ministries International.  Their prayer assignment included visits to Chicago's Art Institute, Oprah's Harpo Studios, and Trinity Christian United Church of Christ (Barak Obama's church).  The prophetic revelation that poured forth, as well as the supernatural accounts that occurred during this journey is astounding!

Here is an excerpt from the report about their visit to the Chicago Art Institute:
"As I laid my hand over the plaque and commanded this covenant broken and the door shut, instantly, a large BOOM resounded through the building, and shocked us all!  A museum employee at the information desk ducked behind the counter for protection.  It was an amazing moment!"
