USRPN - 02/19/08 Send Reinforcements

Dear Praying Friends,

In continuing the battle for our nation and the fight for the unborn child's right to life, I encourage you to prayerfully consider "sending reinforcements" to join Lou Engle, Dutch Sheets, and others, to come alongside young intercessors at our nation's capitol.

Years ago, my good friend, Lou Engle of The Call established the Justice House of Prayer in Washington, D.C.  Young prayer warriors from across the nation were drawn in to conduct silent sieges almost daily in front of the Supreme Court.  For years, they have faithfully contended for a righteous government and the ending of legalized abortion in the United States of America.  Recently, Lou Engle has expressed concern that their numbers are down and their prayer time at the Court has become limited.  

The Lord has been saying that 2008 is the year to "possess the gates", and the Supreme Court is a gate that must possessed for the Kingdom of God!  These young people, the unborn, and our nation as a whole is in need of an army of intercessors to stand at the gate of the Supreme Court.  

In the below directive, prepared by Timmerle Barnes, the USRPN's National Prayer Coordinator for the "government mountain" and a member of our Apostolic Council, you'll find detailed information about how you can respond to this strategic call to intercession and action.

Dear Prayer Leaders,
                                
This year at Dutch Sheets' annual conference, the Lord clearly spoke a prayer strategy that I believe is a key to national breakthrough over the spirit of abortion in America.
 
A few years ago, Lou Engle opened the Justice House of Prayer (JHOP) in Washington, D.C.  Young prayer warriors from across the nation came to pray.  Their primary target:  the Supreme Court and the ending of legalized abortion in the United States of America.  For hours a day, they have prayed at the Court in a silent vigil with the word "LIFE" printed in bold, black letters taped across their mouths.  These young adults have paid a price and they are determined to see abortion end in this nation!  At this time, with costs rising and other pressures of life, their numbers are down and their time in prayer at the Court has become limited.  Lou shared that he is not sure they can continue in these circumstances much longer.
 
As he shared this at Dutch's conference, I felt the Lord tell me to raise up an army to go and encourage them and pray alongside them.  "Send reinforcements," are the words that I heard.  I believe the Lord said to get teams of seasoned intercessors into D.C. to stand at the Court with the JHOP group daily.  Prophet Chuck Pierce has told us that we have entered into the Hebraic "Year of the Gates" and the Supreme Court is a gate that must be possessed for the Kingdom of God! We know it will take a multigenerational and multiracial effort to take this gate. I would like to see strategic teams confront these gates from now through the 2008 elections, at least.  We MUST shift the Court!  Dutch Sheets and Lou Engle agree.
 
In October of 2002, the Lord spoke to Dutch from Nehemiah 6:1, "Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall and that there were no breaks left in it (though at that time I had not hung the doors in the gates)" The Holy Spirit said, "The walls are in place in the restoration of America.  Now you must work on the gates, which are the courts."  Let's align with the Judge of the universe and take our position on the wall.  When we send reinforcements to D.C., I believe HE will send reinforcements from His angelic hosts to meet us and we can see godly gates hung in the walls of national restoration!
 
Therefore, I am asking you to seriously and prayerfully consider gathering a team of at least two people to go to Washington and stand with the Justice House of Prayer warriors for a minimum of two hours per day for the days you are there.  I want to cover all five weekdays, which are the days the JHOP prays at the Court.  It is preferable for you to cover an entire week, but certainly not necessary.  We realize that it can be very expensive to be in Washington, D.C. and all trip costs will be your own responsibility.
 
As I do want to be sure every day is covered, we will be scheduling groups.  Please feel free to go more than one time.  Also, there is a protocol to praying in this arena. The JHOP members have favor with the Court Police and we do not want to negatively affect that in any way.  In light of these matters, I must know when you plan to go.  I will provide contact and protocol information for you when I hear from you regarding your schedule preference.
 
If you want to take a team, but are not comfortable finding your way around Washington, D.C., or if this type of prayer journey is a new prayer venue for you, we still WANT to encourage you to go!  Therefore, we can do one of three things:

  • We can schedule you to go to Washington, D.C. for a leadership prayer training session for this purpose ahead of the time you plan to take your group.
  • We can send a national prayer leader with you.  These individuals have been in and out of D.C. many times and are very comfortable with prayer protocol in the governmental arena.  They will meet you there and lead the prayer team alongside you, training you on-site.  It will be helpful to them if you can provide an offering to cover their costs.  Many of them have ministries you can write a check to, therefore obtaining a tax-deduction for your contribution.
  • We can provide ideas of where to stay and how to get around.  However, we are not equipped to set accommodations or travel arrangements up for you.  We will provide this information when you schedule a trip.

There are many other areas to pray for in Washington, D.C.  Upon request, we can give you additional prayer direction specific to the time you will be there and make recommendations of where else to go to strategically pray.
