Dear Praying Friends,

At one of the most crucial times in our nation's history, God is calling forth modern-day "sons of Issachar"-those who would position themselves to prophetically understand the times and gain knowledge of what we ought to do to save the soul of our nation.

Respond to God's call by joining us at two strategic prayer gatherings this fall:  

On September 12-13, 2008,we are calling believers in the state of California, and beyond, to gather together in the city of San Francisco, to Pray Until Something Happens at P.U.S.H.  As we stand at the brink of impending judgment upon California and our nation, because of so much wickedness and perversion, a holy people will raise up a cry for mercy and the release of a powerful marriage of righteousness and justice in our land.

On October 31 - November 1, 2008, we are calling intercessors nationwide to join us in New York City for Convergence '08--the first ever USRPN National Congress--an intercessory prayer conference just days before the United States' presidential election.  Much  prophetic revelation about the condition of our country will be released, as we provide in-depth teaching on how to effectively war for the healing of our economy, and save the soul of our great nation in this crucial hour.

More information is provided below.  We encourage you to join us and receive an impartation of power to hear the voice of God more clearly, and to pray more fervently and effectively to release His strategies for righteous reformation.

Warring for the soul of our nation,

We are at one of the most crucial times in our nation's history.  A presidential election is upon us while talk of economic crisis abounds and issues such as increased funding for abortion and legalized same-sex marriage have come to the forefront.  God is saying that to save our nation, we must pray, pray, pray!
While Cindy was in a time of intercession for our nation, the Lord revealed to her that: "The strongman of this nation does not live in Washington, D.C., the strongman that really rules over this country lives in New York City". In response, we are calling intercessors nationwide to converge in New York City--"the capital of the world" for Convergence '08--the first ever National Congress of the United States Reformation Prayer Network.

This two-day prayer conference will be charged with prophetic revelation about the condition of America, and infused with powerful equipping in the areas of intercession, spiritual mapping, and spiritual warfare.

Pre-Conference Prayer Journey
Many well-respected economists predicted a severe economic recession and possible stock market crash for early 2008.  All of the economic indicators were present, but economists could not understand what turned the tide on their predictions.  We know, however, that it was the power of prayer that averted the deterioration of our nation's economy at that time.  

Many economists as well as prophets, are once again predicting a recession and possible stock market crash of even greater scope to ensue in early 2009.  We must be proactive through prayer!

October 29 is the anniversary of "Black Tuesday", the infamous day of the Stock Market crash of 1929, which initiated The Great Depression.  On October 29 and 30, 2008, USRPN prayer teams will be deployed to strategic locations throughout New York City to pray and shift things in the heavens to bring healing to our nation's economy and prepare the body of Christ for the impending great transference of wealth.  We will pray at the New York Stock Exchange, Wall Street, The Federal Reserve, United Nations, Rockefeller Plaza, Ellis Island, and The Statue of Liberty.

"Blow the trumpet in Zion (San Francisco)!  Declare a day of repentance, a holy fast day.  Call a public meeting.  Get everyone there.  Consecrate the congregation.  Make sure the elders come, but bring in the children, too, even the nursing babies, Even men and women on their honeymoon-interrupt them and get them there.  Between Sanctuary entrance and altar, let the priests, God's servants, weep tears of repentance.  Let them intercede: 'have mercy, God, on your people! Don't let the pagans take over and rule them and sneer, and say where is this God of theirs?'" Joel 2:15

About two weeks ago, as Cindy was fasting and praying, she was shaken to the core when the Lord spoke to her, "No more business as usual for my Body in San Francisco!"  She knew that He was referring to the Joel 2:15 passage as God asked for prayer to stop a judgment coming upon a nation.

For the past few months, many prophetic voices have been crying out about judgments coming upon San Francisco, California, and the United States in general.  We are in a Joel's hour as never before.  We believe with all our hearts that it is time for warriors to arise with focused intercession and that God is also speaking to His Deborahs to arise and stir up the Baraks.

Cindy, as a mother of nations, is issuing the clarion call to assemble at the national Mt. Tabor, where Deborah called Barak to fight against impossible odds. Why? At the Word of the Lord, Deborah had the anointing to shift the nation in partnership with Barak.  The spirit of the prophet in Deborah spoke to the spirit of the warrior in Barak in a time of national crisis.

Can a city be changed in a day?  We believe that, through prayer, it can!  We are gathering in San Francisco at Promised Land Church on September 12-13 to P.U.S.H. (Pray Until Something Happens). We know that as we convene as leaders for this final push, God wants to release a powerful marriage of righteousness and justice out of the Bay area instead of the wickedness and perversion we have seen.

San Diego Pastor, Jim Garlow, who has mobilized 3,400 pastors to pray and urge voting for the Defense of Marriage Bill, as well as Ed Silvoso, have agreed to come speak in San Francisco for P.U.S.H. These meetings will be open to all at no charge.

The Family Research Council has initated a campaign for 100 Days of Prayer for Marriage.  Those who sign up will receive daily prayer targets on the Marriage efforts in California, Florida and Arizona.  We believe that the outcome of these effort will impact every state.  Those fighting the battle on the ground need our prayer support.  Our united daily prayers will make a difference.

Calling CA, FL and AZ Leaders for a Webinar - Wednesday, August 27
On July 30, 3,400 pastors and leaders, mostly from California and some from Arizona and Florida, took part in a "Webinar" (online multimedia conference call) to share information, confer on strategy and pray for marriage initiatives in their states. The next call will take place Wednesday, August 27 at 10 AM , PT. Pastors and churches will receive hands-on training on the next call.

Marriage Amendment Language
Tasked with writing an official description of the Marriage Amendment to appear on the ballot and election pamphlets, Attorney General Jerry Brown used prejudiced language, saying the amendment "eliminates (the) right of same-sex couples to marry." Marriage advocates sued to have the language changed, but a Sacramento judge ruled in favor of Brown's language.
