USRPN - 07/22/08 God is Shaking What Needs to be Shaken

Dear Praying Friends,

I have been in intense intercession for our nation and for our present and future leaders.  The Lord has given me two prophetic words for our nation--one about the shaking that will intensify, along with a prayer strategy for the preservation of our nation.  The second prophetic word relates to the United States presidential election.   Below are video links in which I share those prophetic words.  In order to discuss in more detail what the Lord has been speaking to me for this year's election we are hosting a live conference call open to the general public at 3pm on CDT on Monday, July 28, 2008. All of the conference call details are provided below.

As I prayed for our nation, I gave thanks for the US Reformation Prayer Network, which is being raised up to contend for holy reformation in our nation at this critical hour.  In order to engage in a strategic discussion with USRPN leaders about the state of our nation, we have arranged a special conference call for USRPN Prayer Coordinators and Apostolic Council members only.  USRPN leaders will receive a personalized email with all the details later this week.

The Lord spoke to me regarding the issue of the same-sex marriage laws in California; He will begin to shake everything that needs to be shaken! When we disobey God, His hand of protection is removed, and judgment begins to come in the form of natural disasters as a consequence of sin.

Please join with us and pray that God would protect certain portions of the nation, which will be as the land of Goshen--free from shakings, lightning strikes, and forms of natural disaster.

Pray that God would strike the places that need to be stricken--not to destroy--but to awaken people and show them His sovereignty.

The Lord urgently spoke to me regarding intercession for the upcoming United States election. The Bible commands us to pray for those in authority over us so that we may lead a peaceable and quiet life. (I Tim. 2:1-3) This only comes through fervent prayer for the right leaders to be elected! We must intercede for our President, Congress, and our military. The United States is at a cusp; it will become the "city on a hill" or it will plummet. This is not a time to be apathetic.

Why is it important to pray? This upcoming election on November 4, 2008 is one of the most critical elections in our nation's history because all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, 35 seats in the Senate, 70 state Supreme Court justices, and 35 governors for individual states will be decided upon. There are an estimated 60 million evangelical voters in the United States; however, only 15 million ever vote, and 24 million are not even registered to vote. These staggering statistics heighten the concern as we approach the election.

Additionally, this election will affect the nation's domestic and foreign policy. Satan wants to destabilize the Middle East. We need to pray that God will glue together the Middle East. It's critical that the next president of our nation be masterful in foreign policy. We need a righteous leader who cares about the poor and social justice issues.

Join with me as we intercede for the United States' election. Focus on these specific issues, as they will be hotbeds for debate in the election:

1. Pray for the election of a president who cares about the poor and social justice issues and who will rule righteously (pro-life).
2. Pray that God will not allow the future president to appoint pro-homosexual judges.

May God join the pastors in California together with one heart and mind, and may pastors across America follow suit, to defend the land and God's flocks!   (Ps 133; Jer 23:4; Jn 10:10-15)

In the very city in which Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court case that legalized abortion in America, was initiated, we see abortion clinics closing left and right.  The Christian Post recently reported that:  

"In what pro-life advocates have described as nothing other than the miraculous work of God, a series of abortion clinics throughout Dallas have closed down after a prominent bishop began leading prayers for their closure 18 years ago.  ...seven of the 13 abortion clinics in Dallas have closed, including, most recently, the only late term abortion clinic that deprived life to babies over 3 months old."

"While claiming victory, however...[it is]...up to Christians and pro-life minded people everywhere to continue praying that the scourge of abortion could be completely wiped out and the rights of the unborn protected."

Please continue to pray and work towards the day when Dallas, and every city across America, is an abortion-free city and the blood of innocent unborn children is no longer shed here.

I recently visited the city of Tuscon, Arizona for a very strategic women's prayer gathering for the ending of abortion.  The city of Tuscon is where Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, developed the birth control movement--with its eugenic and racist roots--that has resulted in the death of more than 50 million babies.  We actually prayed on the site of where she opened her first Planned Parenthood clinic.  

We felt heaven's assistance as we prayed against the racist, eugenic spirit behind this movement. Intercession went forth that Planned Parenthhod would be de-funded by Congress. (We give them around $300 million as a nation each year.). We also did a memorial service for the 50+ million babies who have died in the womb.

Arizona's female governor just vetoed the partial birth abortion ban that the state legislature passed.  As we finished praying, we saw a double rainbow in the sky!  God smiled upon us through His creation!  We look forward to the day when abortion will be overturned in the state of Arizona, and in our nation!

When we prayed with Lou Engle at the Supreme Court in late April, we were introduced to a young woman who shared the following prophetic dream with us.  In this account, she talks about the connection between abortion and the black community, the ties between Arizona and Planned Parenthood, and how God is raising up contenders for the ending of abortion.  

Please continue to pray during this time to shift things in a great way in the nations.  We want no less than a massive move of righteousness and justice to sweep our nation and the world through God's army of intercessory reformers!

The serpentine stranglehold of abortion continues to squeeze the life out of over 1.6 million wombs every year in our nation, wiping out nearly one-third of an entire generation born since 1973.  2008 is an incredibly important year in the history of our nation--politically, culturally and economically. We are truly in an hour of crisis. In the midst of it all, God is calling His people back to Himself.
