USRPN - 05/28/08 Prayer Alert

Dear Praying Friends,

The Lord gave us the vision for buiding a state-to-state prayer network around the 7 mountains of societal influence.  One of those mountains being "family".   As watchmen on the wall, it is our duty to intercede for the preservation of the sanctity of marriage and the institution of the family--according to the Creator's original design.  The California same-sex marriage ruling has opened a pandora's box to similar legislation in other states throughout the nation.   Below we provide a report of a newly presented bill allowing homosexual marriage in the state of Minnesota.  We want to make sure this is soaked in prayer so that this bill is not passed!

Below you'll also find a statement from our Apostolic State Prayer Coordinator in California about the recent same-sex marriage Supreme Court ruling along with various action points and helpful information to help you play an effective role in restoring God-ordained man-woman marriage in the state of California and across our nation.

Urgent Prayer Alert: Minnesota Homosexual Marriage Bill

Our Minnesota Prayer Network Coordinator has informed us that in light of the California same-sex marriage ruling we now have a hornets nest brewing in Minnesota.  The day after the California ruling, the Minnesota Senate brought to the table a "last minute bill", Bill #3880 called "Homosexual Marriage".  

The bill reads: "A bill for an act relating to marriage; providing for gender-neutral marriage laws; enacting the Marriage and Family Protection Act; amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, sections 363A.27; 517.01; 517.03, subdivision 1; 517.08, subdivision 1a; 517.09."

California, Awake to Your Destiny!

The USRPN's Apostolic Prayer Coordinator for the State of California wrote a statement in response to the California same-sex marriage ruling.  She states:

"We are in a kairos moment. Our nation is under siege by principalities and powers that desire to change times and seasons. However, the Lord Himself is in the Land and we will see true justice come to the poor. This is the moment in history for California to lead the way and affirm the promise of the American Revolution, government "of the people, by the people and for the people."  

In this statement, she calls for a strategy "To put in place a proposal for a state constitutional initiative in California giving the people the power to void judicial decisions issued by the California state courts." Read more...

ACT NOW! - Petition to Restore Man-Woman Marriage in California

"Urge him to speak out not only for man-woman marriage but for the right of the people, not the courts, to decide this question...There is no time to lose. Homosexual couples may be able to obtain marriage licenses in California as soon as next month.."

Take Further Action: 4-Step Plan to Preserve Marriage in California

In the big picture, the California Marriage Amendment will be on the November ballot.  If approved, it will override the Supreme Court and stop homosexual "marriage" licenses from being issued.  But right now we have different and very important short-term battle to fight. We must join hands to stand boldly and energetically against the false marriages that could occur as soon as mid-June when the Supreme Court's ruling goes into effect. You are needed in this historic battle.

Campaign for Children and Families has a short-term battle plan to keep marriage licenses for a man and a woman. This is a real war for righteousness.  With God's help and each one of us doing our part, we can block these homosexual "marriages".  Please take some time to save the foundation of family -- marriage between a man and a woman.

Support For Marriage Runs Deep

(FRC) Conservative groups are mobilizing on the ground in California, working around the clock to undo the damage of last week's ruling imposing homosexual marriage. Our first hope is that the high court is persuaded by Alliance Defense Fund's (ADF) request to stay the ruling until the people vote on the marriage protection amendment in November. USRPN National Prayer Convergence: October 29 - November 1, 2008

The first National Convergence of the USRPN will take place in New York City from October 29 through November 1, 2008.   The dates and location were strategically selected, and we are excited to tell you why.

Many well-respected economists predicted a severe economic recession and possible stock market crash for early 2008.  All of the economic indicators were present, but economists could not understand what turned the tide on their predictions.  We know, however, that it was the power of prayer that averted the deterioration of our nation's economy.  Many economists are once again predicting a possible stock market crash and subsequent recession of even greater scope to ensue in early 2009, and we must be proactive.

October 29 is the anniversary of "Black Tuesday", the infamous day of the Stock Market crash of 1929, which initiated The Great Depression.  On October 29, 2008, we will prayer journey through the New York City Financial Distict, praying on-site at the New York Stock Exchange, Wall Street, and the Federal Reserve.   Together we will intercede on behalf of our nation's economy and government, to prevent the possible stock market crash and economic recession that has been predicted for 2009 and 2010.

The following day, our prayer journey will continue with on-site prayer at the United Nations, which is working toward establishing a one world currency and a one world religion.  With one voice, we will contend for a holy reformation in the nations of the earth.

On Friday, October 31, we will have a full-day meeting of the USRPN's Apostolic Council and Apostolic Prayer Coordinators, followed by a prayer conference that kicks off on Friday evening and concludes on Saturday evening.
